About

We're a team of passionate individuals dedicated to making the world a better place through more sustainable living. Our workshops are designed to inspire creativity and to help people learn new skills. Our products are made from unwanted materials and textiles, which are either repaired or transformed into something beautiful and useful.

FAQs

1 / What's a CIC?

A community interest company (CIC) is a type of social enterprise that use their profits and assets for the public good. Any profits made are reinvested back into the company, to benefit the community.

2 / Where do your profits go?

Some CICs pay their directors dividends. We don't. Any profits the company makes are used to provide free/subsidised sewing and craft classes to adults and children in the local community.

3 / What makes your products and workshops more sustainable?

Our products are made using materials that would otherwise have gone to waste. Each product details which parts of the product is salvaged/recycled/upcycled and if there are any new materials used (which is sometimes unavoidable).

Our workshops are based around mending, reusing and upcycling, using scraps of fabrics and unwanted materials. By using these items, we prevent them from going to landfill, therefore continuing the life of the item and not having to use new resources.
